Responsible Sourcing
Supporting Responsible Sourcing
Industry standards and certification system assess responsible practices across the diamond supply chain. Tracr records relevant supply chain information connected to these frameworks

Responsible Sourcing
Tracr works alongside leading industry standards to help demonstrate where a diamond has come from. These frameworks assess the responsible practices at each supplier or mine site.
RJC (Responsible Jewellery Council):
Independent certification that companies follow responsible business practices across human rights, labour, environmental impact, and supply chain due diligence.
BPP (Best Practice Principles):
De Beers’ mandatory environmental, social and ethical standards, applied across the entire diamond value chain, from exploration through to retail; covering clients, their wider group entities and contractors. The programme systematically and annually monitors ethical practices across the diamond pipeline, providing assurance that all activities are carried out in a professional and accountable manner.
Pipeline Integrity (PI):
De Beers Proprietary, Third-party Assessed Chain Of Custody Programme that ensures all DTC diamonds (including melee) are fully traceable and kept segregated from other sources throughout every stage of the supply chain. It underpins all De Beers provenance initiatives, including the registration of DTC diamonds on Tracr, and provides assurance on the provenance of DTC goods.
KP (Kimberley Process):
A government-led certification system that prevents conflict diamonds from entering the global market by regulating the trade of rough diamonds.
Independent verification
Together, they add an extra layer of trust, with records anchored against tamper-proof data.
