Buying, Sourcing & Promoting Tracr Diamonds

Yes. Tracr provides provenance information that you can use to strengthen your storytelling and showcase your diamonds with enhanced confidence and transparency. Sharing a diamond’s journey helps build credibility and real differentiation with your customers.

Tracr aims to be widely available and is already working with leading retailers. You can simply ask your jeweller or retailer for diamonds registered on Tracr.

You can purchase Tracr diamonds directly from your existing suppliers – simply ask for diamonds registered on Tracr.
Tracr is also integrated with Grading Laboratories such as GIA so you can now ask your supplier for a GIA Prov-T [KM1] report which allows you to view the provenance data on Tracr alongside GIA grading data. Click here [add link to demo diamond] to see an example.

Diamond Data, Security & Traceability

Blockchain enables Tracr to check diamond data against an immutable database, ensuring every record is consistent and can provide enhanced trust across the entire supply chain.
Tracr enables the recording of essential information around the source, the weight of the rough diamond, how the rough diamond was manufactured and the finished polished measurements of the diamond.
Tracr is also capable of storing additional information such as videos or images, grading reports and inscription numbers.
Yes. Tracr is built to meet the highest standards of security and privacy. Because Tracr is decentralised, you can retain ownership and control of your own data.
No. Diamonds are scanned by their current owner at each stage of the value chain: at the source by the miner, during processing by the manufacturer, and finally by the grading lab. Tracr works with existing scanning tools to make traceability simple, seamless, and scalable for all participants.
It’s easy! Just go to search.tracr.com and enter the Tracr ID to verify it's on Tracr and explore all the details of your diamond’s journey.
After double-checking that you have written your Tracr ID correctly, if the problem persists contact your supplier to make sure, they have unlocked your diamond. Once the diamond is unlocked, you will be able to access the Diamond Experience.
DTC (Diamond Trading Company) is the rough diamond sales and distribution arm of the De Beers Group. If you see your diamond is from DTC, it means that your natural diamond was discovered in one of four countries: Botswana, Canada, Namibia or South Africa.
